Korean food for lunch with WindJ

Today I went to lunch at a Korean restaurant again, but it wasn’t the same one as last time.

WindJ was curious about all the different kinds of food; they were certainly different from what she was used to.

Here are a couple of links if you want to know more about: 1). Kimchi, 2). Bibimbab.

WindJ is introduced to Pina Colada!

So this is official, everyone, her name is going to be “WindJ”!

This name commemorates the rare occurrence of a signal number 9 Typhoon, in this case Nuri, visiting Hong Kong on Friday, 22nd August, 2008, the day after WindJ arrived at our house.

Today I took WindJ to the bar I go to quite often and had a Pina Colada, one of my favorite drinks of all time.

It’d be great if I’d had a burrito to go with it, but I digress.

I also went to Sogo Department store’s toy department to see if there are any furniture suitable for the “Js.” I figure that so many of them are living with me now, I should give them something to play with, which also would make great photo sessions! Unfortunately, I didn’t find anything appropriate. What I did find was this — a array of Miffy things! They finally revived the Miffy counter.

Talking

“WindJ” came to visit me at my office.  You can see here that she was talking excitedly to 9J about something.

First outing for “WindJ”

As 9J and I are still consulting Miffa for the business of giving a name the bunny-formerly-has-no-name, I shall call her “WindJ” (to commemorate the typhoon that visited Hong Kong the day after she arrived) for the moment until we can finalize on what name should be given to her.

So today I went running errands all over town and brought WindJ with me. 9J and DanJ take care of themselves at home. WindJ traveled in 9J’s protective pouch, although it was a bit snug for her as she is wider than 9J.

We didn’t have much time today so not a lot of pictures were taken. I will take WindJ to a special place for picture as soon as possible.

We’re stuck, too!

Our friend Miffa was stuck with her family in New Zealand lately because of bad weather. We are stuck today too, because of the typhoon that was approaching Hong Kong:

To past the time, Yet-unnamed-bunny read the story of Melisto:

9J also demonstrated her new protective pouch:

What should we call her?

We have a hard time figuring out what to call our newly added member:

Anita Maria thought of these:

  1. EuroJ, since she’s from Europe;
  2. TailJ, since, unlike most of her sisters, she’s got a tail; and
  3. MiffJ, since she came from Miffa.

But then again,

  1. I might get another bunny from Europe;
  2. MIffa Double also has a tail

So, it’s got to be MiffJ… maybe? What do you think?

Maybe AM will run out of ideas and just call her 10J… but that’ll be boring, won’t it?

Here are some pictures of our yet-unnamed-member-of-our-bunny-family posing with the rest of the clan.

Update: I just got an email from Miffa, she said that the tag on not-yet-named-bunny means you can play with her if you’re older than 3 months, so it means I can play with her!  Yippee!

What a nice surprise!

Hello everybody! This is 9J and I’m super happy today!

My friend Miffa has sent me a surprise package, YAY!!!

Inside, there are:

  1. a new member of our family, who’s a bunny in a yellow outfit. Anita thought long and hard but still could not come up with a name, I told her to “sleep on it.” Maybe it’ll come to her tomorrow;
  2. a postcard made out of wood;
  3. a magnet with a picture of a Kiwi bird
  4. a Teko Teko carved warrior to “protect all the ‘Js’” in the house.

Ooh, thank you Miffa very much! I will treasure these great gifts!

International fair for children

Here’s what the inside of the Hong Kong Central Library looks like. Well, not exactly the library proper, but its first floor exhibition hall.

It was the last day of some sort of International fair for children during the summer holiday. There wasn’t much but they had information of all the different continents up for children to read, as well as carts of books on geography, history and culture of different regions on the world.

Cafe Habitu

Hello everyone, this is 9J!

Anita Maria and I went to an expensive cafe for lunch today!  She said she wouldn’t go back again because she couldn’t afford it anymore.  She just wanted to go once to take pictures of me.  So here they are!

DanJ, BabyJ and MiniJ

We saw DanJ, BabyJ and MiniJ at the Apita Department Store today. They were expensive!
