Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

It was the American Thanksgiving yesterday.  9J and I went to have Thanksgiving dinner with my friend.  We also took some pictures of the Christmas decorations at Times Square.

Another beer from Miffa

This time I tried the Mahou, which is not found in Hong Kong at all.

Spanish San Miguel

Finally I cracked open the Spanish San Miguel given to me by Miffa.

My sister tasted it and said it was a bit dry.  I, as usual, cannot tell the difference from beer to beer!

Here’s 9J sipping it.

Christmas Mall Decoration ‘08 Series — Shatin New Town Plaza

I had to go to Shatin to lead a docent tour last Monday (December 22).  I had a headache and wasn’t in the mood so I only took a few pictures of the decorations inside the mall there.

Christmas presents from mom

These are my Christmas present from mom.  She didn’t prepare it beforehand, but bought them when we went shopping today (Christmas Day) at Sogo Department Store.

More information on Fukubukuro.

Ngong Ping 360

Hello, everyone, 9J here!

I went to Ngong Ping 360 with Anita and her friends.  Ngong Ping is on Lantau Island, where the airport is.

At first the cable car looked a bit scary.  It was very high and there was an incident about one of the cars dropping (while no one was inside).  But we were unharmed through out and the scenery was very pretty.  We rode the cable car from Tung Chung to Ngong Ping, where the big monastery called Po Lin is situated.  We went up to look at the big Buddha statue and it was tiring.

Thank you again, Miffa!

Miffa’s other package to us arrived today.  It contained Spanish cured ham!

Thank you, Miffa!

We finally received Miffa’s big Christmas gift!

There are:

  1. a bottle of brandy
  2. a bottle of red wine
  3. a bottle of Damm beer (the beer of Barcelona)
  4. a can of Mahou
  5. a can of (Spanish) San Miguel
  6. two blocks of turron, a traditional Spanish Christmas dessert
  7. and of course, Mateo, who is Ramiro’s brother.  He comes to be 9J’s teddy!

Thanks again, Miffa!
