Why am I taking a picture in front of this store?

This is the Dolce & Gabbana store on Canton Road, Tsim Sha Tsui.  Why am I taking a picture here?  If you want to find out, please read the following article from the Financial Times.

2011 in review

Remember this?  Here it comes again!

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2011 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 3,100 times in 2011. If it were a cable car, it would take about 52 trips to carry that many people.

Christmas Mall Decorations, 2011

Here are a few of the mall decorations.  We’ve been doing this for a few years not and quite frankly it’s getting a little stale.

Update after a long Absence!

Hello friends!

I apologize for being away for so long!  Unfortunately, besides being busy with school, work and the holidays (my sister came home for American Thanksgiving) I have had my first SLE, or Lupus, flare.  I was diagnosed 10 years ago but never had a major flare until now. After dealing with it for a month I am feeling much better now.

Here are some pictures of 9J that I haven’t posted before, enjoy!

Summer Smurfs

There are quite a few pictures of the Js in the summer which I haven’t posted.  Here I am with TearJ at a promotional event at the Maritime Square in Tsing Yi for the Smurf Movie.

Time for some more random food pictures

I was at the gastro bar “The Globe” with a few of my primary school friends and 9J.  The Globe was selected by CNNGo as one of the best beer bar in the city!  They serve beers from local breweries.

Ocean Park 2011

I went with some friends to the famous Hong Kong theme park Ocean Park to take advantage of its HK$99 admission for locals after 6pm.  Of course, 9J had to come along.

U. S. Trip 2011 ~ The Huntington Library

I am glad I had the opportunity to visit the Huntington Library on this trip to the U.S.  I have never been there before but have heard a lot of good things about it.  Unfortunately, a lot of people assume the entire premise is full of books by its name.

So, as you can see, there are a lot to see besides books!

U. S. Trip 2011 ~ The World-famous San Diego Zoo

Going to the San Diego Zoo is definitely a new experience for me, but it shouldn’t be.  I used to live in San Diego with my sister during the two years when I studied for my first master’s.  I have no idea why I haven’t been there then.  I mean, I have been to Sea World and Legoland even.

It is so much more than I expected.  I had a great time.  What made it even better was that one of my old colleagues from the University of San Diego was a member there and she gave me a free entrance pass!

Artjamming

I’m sorry that my 2011 U.S. Trip posts have been taking a backseat these days.  There are just so many photographs to sort through.

Today we’ll once again take a detour.  I went to Artjamming last Friday with a couple of friends and of course 9J!
